GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The letting of premises for marriages by licensed marriage halls under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Conciliation Officer, the Government of Uttarakhand, after careful examination, hereby orders that every licensed marriage hall carrying on the letting of premises for marriages shall furnish Form II to the Registrar of Marriages within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensed marriage hall carrying on the letting of premises for marriages shall make an application in Form II to the Registrar of Marriages within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the letting of premises for marriages is undertaken, and the Registrar of Marriages shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
