GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The keeping of a village shop by keepers of a village shop under the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Secretary of the Gram Panchayat, the Government of Uttar Pradesh, after careful examination, hereby orders that every keeper of a village shop carrying on the keeping of a village shop shall furnish Form 7 to the Block Development Officer within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every keeper of a village shop carrying on the keeping of a village shop shall make an application in Form 7 to the Block Development Officer within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of a village shop is undertaken, and the Block Development Officer shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
