GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The plying of a vehicle within a cantonment by owners of a vehicle within a cantonment under the Karnataka Control of Organised Crimes Act, 2002, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Defence Estates Officer, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner of a vehicle within a cantonment carrying on the plying of a vehicle within a cantonment shall furnish Form A to the Commanding Officer of the Unit within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a vehicle within a cantonment carrying on the plying of a vehicle within a cantonment shall make an application in Form A to the Commanding Officer of the Unit within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the plying of a vehicle within a cantonment is undertaken, and the Commanding Officer of the Unit shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Karnataka.
