GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The functioning of a trade union by trade unions under the Karnataka Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1962, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Inspector, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every trade union carrying on the functioning of a trade union shall furnish Form VIII to the Chief Inspector of Factories within fifteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every trade union carrying on the functioning of a trade union shall make an application in Form VIII to the Chief Inspector of Factories within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the functioning of a trade union is undertaken, and the Chief Inspector of Factories shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Karnataka.
