GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION
Subject: The manufacture of beedis by employers of beedi workers under the Bombay Industrial Relations Act, 1946, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Conciliation Officer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every employer of beedi workers carrying on the manufacture of beedis shall furnish Form VII to the Registering Officer within seven days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every employer of beedi workers carrying on the manufacture of beedis shall make an application in Form VII to the Registering Officer within seven days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the manufacture of beedis is undertaken, and the Registering Officer shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Maharashtra.
