GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION
Subject: The scrapping of motor vehicles by scrapping facilities under the Maharashtra Motor Vehicles Tax Act, 1958, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Assistant Regional Transport Officer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every scrapping facility carrying on the scrapping of motor vehicles shall furnish Form 1 to the Government of Maharashtra within twenty-one days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every scrapping facility carrying on the scrapping of motor vehicles shall make an application in Form 1 to the Government of Maharashtra within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the scrapping of motor vehicles is undertaken, and the Government of Maharashtra shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Maharashtra.
