GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: Service on a ship by seamen under the Gujarat Maritime Board Act, 1981, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Engineer and Ship Surveyor, the Government of Gujarat, after careful examination, hereby orders that every seaman carrying on service on a ship shall furnish Form 1 to the Director-General within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every seaman carrying on service on a ship shall make an application in Form 1 to the Director-General within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which service on a ship is undertaken, and the Director-General shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Gujarat.
