GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The transport of excisable articles by transporters under the Punjab Excise Act, 1914, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Assistant Commissioner of Excise, the Government of Punjab, after careful examination, hereby orders that every transporter carrying on the transport of excisable articles shall furnish Form B to the Excise Commissioner within thirty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every transporter carrying on the transport of excisable articles shall make an application in Form B to the Excise Commissioner within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the transport of excisable articles is undertaken, and the Excise Commissioner shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of Punjab.
