GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The foster care of a child by foster parents under the Karnataka Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Act, 1997, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Child Welfare Officer, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every foster parent carrying on the foster care of a child shall furnish Form V to the Maintenance Tribunal within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every foster parent carrying on the foster care of a child shall make an application in Form V to the Maintenance Tribunal within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the foster care of a child is undertaken, and the Maintenance Tribunal shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Karnataka.
