GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The provision of direct-to-home broadcasting services by direct-to-home operators under the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1964, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Licensing Officer, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every direct-to-home operator carrying on the provision of direct-to-home broadcasting services shall furnish Form IV to the Board of Film Certification within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every direct-to-home operator carrying on the provision of direct-to-home broadcasting services shall make an application in Form IV to the Board of Film Certification within seven days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the provision of direct-to-home broadcasting services is undertaken, and the Board of Film Certification shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Karnataka.
