GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The transmission of programmes by cable by cable operators under the Maharashtra Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1953, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Inspecting Officer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every cable operator carrying on the transmission of programmes by cable shall furnish Form III to the Advisory Panel within one hundred and twenty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every cable operator carrying on the transmission of programmes by cable shall make an application in Form III to the Advisory Panel within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the transmission of programmes by cable is undertaken, and the Advisory Panel shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Maharashtra.
