GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The plying of a contract carriage by owners of a contract carriage under the Karnataka Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1957, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Assistant Regional Transport Officer, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner of a contract carriage carrying on the plying of a contract carriage shall furnish Form 2 to the State Transport Appellate Tribunal within ninety days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a contract carriage carrying on the plying of a contract carriage shall make an application in Form 2 to the State Transport Appellate Tribunal within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the plying of a contract carriage is undertaken, and the State Transport Appellate Tribunal shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Karnataka.
