GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The treatment of sewage by operators of a sewage treatment plant under the Bengal Irrigation Act, 1876, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Divisional Canal Officer, the Government of West Bengal, after careful examination, hereby orders that every operator of a sewage treatment plant carrying on the treatment of sewage shall furnish Form A to the Government of West Bengal within fifteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a sewage treatment plant carrying on the treatment of sewage shall make an application in Form A to the Government of West Bengal within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the treatment of sewage is undertaken, and the Government of West Bengal shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of West Bengal.
