GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The keeping of a lodging house by proprietors of a lodging house under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act, 1999, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Inspector of Police, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every proprietor of a lodging house carrying on the keeping of a lodging house shall furnish Form VI to the Superintendent of Police within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every proprietor of a lodging house carrying on the keeping of a lodging house shall make an application in Form VI to the Superintendent of Police within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of a lodging house is undertaken, and the Superintendent of Police shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Maharashtra.
