ORDER

Subject: The retail vend of liquor by retail vendors under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Excise Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 10 of 2009), the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi is pleased to order that

1. In the circumstances reported by the Sub-Inspector of Excise, the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, after careful examination, hereby orders that every retail vendor carrying on the retail vend of liquor shall furnish Form E to the Deputy Commissioner of Excise within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every retail vendor carrying on the retail vend of liquor shall make an application in Form E to the Deputy Commissioner of Excise within seven days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the retail vend of liquor is undertaken, and the Deputy Commissioner of Excise shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
