GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The distribution of natural gas by city gas distribution entities under the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Chief Electrical Inspector, the Government of Gujarat, after careful examination, hereby orders that every city gas distribution entity carrying on the distribution of natural gas shall furnish Form VIII to the State Commission within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every city gas distribution entity carrying on the distribution of natural gas shall make an application in Form VIII to the State Commission within seven days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the distribution of natural gas is undertaken, and the State Commission shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Gujarat.
