Puducherry, dated the 10th September, 2022

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The occupation of land by occupants under the Puducherry Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1973, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Patwari, the Government of Puducherry, after careful examination, hereby orders that every occupant carrying on the occupation of land shall furnish Form 3 to the Settlement Officer within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every occupant carrying on the occupation of land shall make an application in Form 3 to the Settlement Officer within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the occupation of land is undertaken, and the Settlement Officer shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Water Resources Department, Government of Puducherry.
