ORDER

Subject: The possession of excisable articles by persons in possession under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Excise Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 10 of 2009), the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi is pleased to order that

1. In the circumstances reported by the Circle Inspector of Excise, the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, after careful examination, hereby orders that every person in possession carrying on the possession of excisable articles shall furnish Form C to the District Excise Officer within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person in possession carrying on the possession of excisable articles shall make an application in Form C to the District Excise Officer within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the possession of excisable articles is undertaken, and the District Excise Officer shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
