GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The keeping of a printing press by keepers of a printing press under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Inspector of Police, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every keeper of a printing press carrying on the keeping of a printing press shall furnish Form I to the Commissioner of Police within ten days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every keeper of a printing press carrying on the keeping of a printing press shall make an application in Form I to the Commissioner of Police within ten days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of a printing press is undertaken, and the Commissioner of Police shall dispose of it within ten days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
