GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION
Subject: The management of a waqf by mutawallis under the Maharashtra Regulation of Marriage Bureaus and Registration of Marriages Act, 1998, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Registrar of Marriages, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every mutawalli carrying on the management of a waqf shall furnish Form I to the Government of Maharashtra within thirty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every mutawalli carrying on the management of a waqf shall make an application in Form I to the Government of Maharashtra within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the management of a waqf is undertaken, and the Government of Maharashtra shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Maharashtra.
