Lucknow, dated the 5th June, 2021

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The possession of excisable articles by persons in possession under the Uttar Pradesh Excise Act, 1910, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Deputy Commissioner of Excise, the Government of Uttar Pradesh, after careful examination, hereby orders that every person in possession carrying on the possession of excisable articles shall furnish Form H to the District Excise Officer within ten days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person in possession carrying on the possession of excisable articles shall make an application in Form H to the District Excise Officer within ten days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the possession of excisable articles is undertaken, and the District Excise Officer shall dispose of it within ten days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
