Chandigarh, dated the 27th May, 2021

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The sale of excisable articles by licensees under the Punjab Excise Act, 1914, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Excise Superintendent, the Government of Punjab, after careful examination, hereby orders that every licensee carrying on the sale of excisable articles shall furnish Form C to the Excise Appellate Authority within fourteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee carrying on the sale of excisable articles shall make an application in Form C to the Excise Appellate Authority within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sale of excisable articles is undertaken, and the Excise Appellate Authority shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Excise Department, Government of Punjab.
