GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The occupation of land near a monument by occupiers of land near a monument under the Tamil Nadu Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1966, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Site Manager, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every occupier of land near a monument carrying on the occupation of land near a monument shall furnish Form V to the Hotel Classification Committee within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every occupier of land near a monument carrying on the occupation of land near a monument shall make an application in Form V to the Hotel Classification Committee within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the occupation of land near a monument is undertaken, and the Hotel Classification Committee shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
