Chennai, dated the 20th April, 2021

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The running of a shooting range by proprietors of a shooting range under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Licensing Officer, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every proprietor of a shooting range carrying on the running of a shooting range shall furnish Form IV to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every proprietor of a shooting range carrying on the running of a shooting range shall make an application in Form IV to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate within seven days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a shooting range is undertaken, and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Excise Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
