GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The sub-letting of premises by sub-tenants under the Karnataka Slum Areas (Improvement and Clearance) Act, 1973, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Registrar of the Authority, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every sub-tenant carrying on the sub-letting of premises shall furnish Form C to the Rent Authority within one hundred and twenty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every sub-tenant carrying on the sub-letting of premises shall make an application in Form C to the Rent Authority within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sub-letting of premises is undertaken, and the Rent Authority shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Karnataka.
