GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The holding of property in the name of another by holders of benami property under the Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1962, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Land Acquisition Officer, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every holder of benami property carrying on the holding of property in the name of another shall furnish Form 4 to the Rehabilitation Authority within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of benami property carrying on the holding of property in the name of another shall make an application in Form 4 to the Rehabilitation Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of property in the name of another is undertaken, and the Rehabilitation Authority shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Karnataka.
