GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The working of a brewery by brewers under the Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Excise Superintendent, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every brewer carrying on the working of a brewery shall furnish Form C to the District Excise Officer within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every brewer carrying on the working of a brewery shall make an application in Form C to the District Excise Officer within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the working of a brewery is undertaken, and the District Excise Officer shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Maharashtra.
