GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The keeping of a shop in a village market by shopkeepers in a village market under the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Gram Sevak, the Government of Uttar Pradesh, after careful examination, hereby orders that every shopkeeper in a village market carrying on the keeping of a shop in a village market shall furnish Form 3 to the Gram Panchayat within twenty-one days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every shopkeeper in a village market carrying on the keeping of a shop in a village market shall make an application in Form 3 to the Gram Panchayat within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of a shop in a village market is undertaken, and the Gram Panchayat shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
