GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: Fishing in a village tank by lessees of a village fishery under the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Secretary of the Gram Panchayat, the Government of West Bengal, after careful examination, hereby orders that every lessee of a village fishery carrying on fishing in a village tank shall furnish Form 5 to the Block Development Officer within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of a village fishery carrying on fishing in a village tank shall make an application in Form 5 to the Block Development Officer within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which fishing in a village tank is undertaken, and the Block Development Officer shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of West Bengal.
