GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The scrapping of motor vehicles by scrapping facilities under the Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1974, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Assistant Regional Transport Officer, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every scrapping facility carrying on the scrapping of motor vehicles shall furnish Form 29 to the State Transport Authority within fourteen days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every scrapping facility carrying on the scrapping of motor vehicles shall make an application in Form 29 to the State Transport Authority within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the scrapping of motor vehicles is undertaken, and the State Transport Authority shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
