GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The management of an irrigation system by a water user association by water user associations under the Tamil Nadu Groundwater (Development and Management) Act, 2003, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Junior Engineer, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every water user association carrying on the management of an irrigation system by a water user association shall furnish Form H to the Irrigation Authority within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every water user association carrying on the management of an irrigation system by a water user association shall make an application in Form H to the Irrigation Authority within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the management of an irrigation system by a water user association is undertaken, and the Irrigation Authority shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Water Resources Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
