GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The tapping of toddy by toddy tappers under the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Excise Officer, the Government of Madhya Pradesh, after careful examination, hereby orders that every toddy tapper carrying on the tapping of toddy shall furnish Form C to the Excise Commissioner within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every toddy tapper carrying on the tapping of toddy shall make an application in Form C to the Excise Commissioner within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the tapping of toddy is undertaken, and the Excise Commissioner shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
