GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The holding of land in excess of the ceiling by holders of land in excess of the ceiling under the Tamil Nadu Cultivating Tenants Protection Act, 1955, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Patwari, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every holder of land in excess of the ceiling carrying on the holding of land in excess of the ceiling shall furnish Form 2 to the Tahsildar within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of land in excess of the ceiling carrying on the holding of land in excess of the ceiling shall make an application in Form 2 to the Tahsildar within seven days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of land in excess of the ceiling is undertaken, and the Tahsildar shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
