GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The publication of books by publishers of books under the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1964, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Deputy Press Registrar, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every publisher of books carrying on the publication of books shall furnish Form I to the Registering Authority within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every publisher of books carrying on the publication of books shall make an application in Form I to the Registering Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the publication of books is undertaken, and the Registering Authority shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Karnataka.
