GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION

Subject: The irrigation of land from a canal by cultivators of irrigated land under the Maharashtra Water Resources Regulatory Authority Act, 2005, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Divisional Canal Officer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every cultivator of irrigated land carrying on the irrigation of land from a canal shall furnish Form C to the Government of Maharashtra within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every cultivator of irrigated land carrying on the irrigation of land from a canal shall make an application in Form C to the Government of Maharashtra within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the irrigation of land from a canal is undertaken, and the Government of Maharashtra shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Water Resources Department, Government of Maharashtra.
