GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: Fishing in a reservoir by licensees of a fishery in a reservoir under the Bengal Irrigation Act, 1876, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Executive Engineer, the Government of West Bengal, after careful examination, hereby orders that every licensee of a fishery in a reservoir carrying on fishing in a reservoir shall furnish Form C to the Dam Safety Authority within forty-five days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a fishery in a reservoir carrying on fishing in a reservoir shall make an application in Form C to the Dam Safety Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which fishing in a reservoir is undertaken, and the Dam Safety Authority shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of West Bengal.
