GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The supply of contract labour by contractors under the Karnataka Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1962, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Assistant Labour Commissioner, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every contractor carrying on the supply of contract labour shall furnish Form VIII to the appropriate Government within fifteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor carrying on the supply of contract labour shall make an application in Form VIII to the appropriate Government within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the supply of contract labour is undertaken, and the appropriate Government shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Karnataka.
