GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The temporary care of a child by a fit person by fit persons under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Woman Act, 2002, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the District Child Protection Officer, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every fit person carrying on the temporary care of a child by a fit person shall furnish Form VIII to the District Magistrate within three days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every fit person carrying on the temporary care of a child by a fit person shall make an application in Form VIII to the District Magistrate within three days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the temporary care of a child by a fit person is undertaken, and the District Magistrate shall dispose of it within three days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
