GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The generation of hazardous waste by generators of hazardous waste under the Kerala Forest Act, 1961, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Forest Guard, the Government of Kerala, after careful examination, hereby orders that every generator of hazardous waste carrying on the generation of hazardous waste shall furnish Form VIII to the Central Board within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every generator of hazardous waste carrying on the generation of hazardous waste shall make an application in Form VIII to the Central Board within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the generation of hazardous waste is undertaken, and the Central Board shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Kerala.
