GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The registration of births and deaths by registrars of births and deaths under the Karnataka Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Act, 1997, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Maintenance Officer, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every registrar of births and deaths carrying on the registration of births and deaths shall furnish Form III to the District Court within fourteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every registrar of births and deaths carrying on the registration of births and deaths shall make an application in Form III to the District Court within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the registration of births and deaths is undertaken, and the District Court shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Karnataka.
