GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The testing of motor vehicles for fitness by operators of a testing station under the Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1974, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the registering authority, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every operator of a testing station carrying on the testing of motor vehicles for fitness shall furnish Form 29 to the State Transport Appellate Tribunal within sixty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a testing station carrying on the testing of motor vehicles for fitness shall make an application in Form 29 to the State Transport Appellate Tribunal within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the testing of motor vehicles for fitness is undertaken, and the State Transport Appellate Tribunal shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
