GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The placement of domestic workers by placement agencies under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Woman Act, 2002, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Case Worker, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every placement agency carrying on the placement of domestic workers shall furnish Form VII to the District Child Protection Unit within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every placement agency carrying on the placement of domestic workers shall make an application in Form VII to the District Child Protection Unit within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the placement of domestic workers is undertaken, and the District Child Protection Unit shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
