GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The employment of dock workers by owners of a dock under the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status to Workmen) Act, 1981, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Labour Inspector, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner of a dock carrying on the employment of dock workers shall furnish Form III to the Labour Court within thirty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a dock carrying on the employment of dock workers shall make an application in Form III to the Labour Court within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the employment of dock workers is undertaken, and the Labour Court shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
