Mumbai, dated the 27th April, 2014

GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION

Subject: The management of a gurdwara by committees of a gurdwara under the Maharashtra Public Trusts Act, 1950, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Assistant Registrar of Societies, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every committee of a gurdwara carrying on the management of a gurdwara shall furnish Form G to the Commissioner of Endowments within one hundred and twenty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every committee of a gurdwara carrying on the management of a gurdwara shall make an application in Form G to the Commissioner of Endowments within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the management of a gurdwara is undertaken, and the Commissioner of Endowments shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Energy Department, Government of Maharashtra.
