Puducherry, dated the 27th April, 2014

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The holding of land by landholders under the Puducherry Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1973, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Deputy Tahsildar, the Government of Puducherry, after careful examination, hereby orders that every landholder carrying on the holding of land shall furnish Form 1 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every landholder carrying on the holding of land shall make an application in Form 1 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of land is undertaken, and the Sub-Divisional Officer shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Puducherry.
