GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The running of a motor transport undertaking by owners of a motor transport undertaking under the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status to Workmen) Act, 1981, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Facilitator, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner of a motor transport undertaking carrying on the running of a motor transport undertaking shall furnish Form VI to the appropriate Government within ten days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a motor transport undertaking carrying on the running of a motor transport undertaking shall make an application in Form VI to the appropriate Government within ten days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a motor transport undertaking is undertaken, and the appropriate Government shall dispose of it within ten days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
