GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The cultivation of hemp under licence by cultivators of hemp under the Punjab Excise Act, 1914, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Excise Superintendent, the Government of Punjab, after careful examination, hereby orders that every cultivator of hemp carrying on the cultivation of hemp under licence shall furnish Form D to the Excise Appellate Authority within forty-five days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every cultivator of hemp carrying on the cultivation of hemp under licence shall make an application in Form D to the Excise Appellate Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the cultivation of hemp under licence is undertaken, and the Excise Appellate Authority shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Punjab.
