GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The keeping of a dharamshala by keepers of a dharamshala under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Charity Commissioner, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every keeper of a dharamshala carrying on the keeping of a dharamshala shall furnish Form G to the Registrar of Societies within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every keeper of a dharamshala carrying on the keeping of a dharamshala shall make an application in Form G to the Registrar of Societies within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of a dharamshala is undertaken, and the Registrar of Societies shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Karnataka.
