GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The operation of a ferry by operators of a ferry under the Bombay Irrigation Act, 1879, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Junior Engineer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every operator of a ferry carrying on the operation of a ferry shall furnish Form F to the Board within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a ferry carrying on the operation of a ferry shall make an application in Form F to the Board within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a ferry is undertaken, and the Board shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Maharashtra.
