Chandigarh, dated the 10th May, 2013

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The possession of land by persons in possession of land under the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Patwari, the Government of Punjab, after careful examination, hereby orders that every person in possession of land carrying on the possession of land shall furnish Form 12 to the State Government within one hundred and twenty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person in possession of land carrying on the possession of land shall make an application in Form 12 to the State Government within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the possession of land is undertaken, and the State Government shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Punjab.
